Thanks so much for visiting.
Painting is my passion and I especially love to decorate neutral walls with murals and canvases- My mural projects have included everything from dance studios to upscale entry foyers to ceiling murals. Above all, I love to transform childrens' rooms, having two incredibly bright and creative ladies of my own for inspiration!
I create out of my home studio (some day that will be a cottage by the sea, thus the business name!) in North Carolina. I am a member of a local group of artists who open their studios to the public each fall and have been asked to paint a scene of local history for our town's Centennial commemorative book. I also enjoy displaying at local juried arts and crafts fairs and writing articles for Clever Parents online magazine, geared toward decorating on a dime.
In my previous life, I graduated from Duke University in Public Policy and French and worked on Capitol Hill and taught high school history and government for 7 years. I plans to get back into education- art and art history this time- in the near future.
I am thankful to God for His gift of creativity and for introducing me to a paintbrush 4 years ago. More than that, I am so blessed with our family and especially my husband Kendall. He is not only a fantastic husband and Dad, but our role model of a dedicated, faithful Christian- I'm so glad some of it is rubbing off on me b/c I need to make up for lost time!!
I look forward to working with you to create fantastic art and decor for their rooms! Feel free to contact me about your ideas........
